10. El Retiro Park, Madrid

With over 15,000 trees, this green oasis is Madrid’s most renowned park. El Retiro with its countless gardens, hosts some of Madrid’s oldest trees, with some dating back 400 years. Magnificent sculptures and fountains with intricate and beautiful details can be found all over the park, such as the Monument to Alfonso XII, the Fallen Angel statue, and the Galapagos Fountain.

The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias hosts an interactive Science Museum, an IMAX Cinema, an Opera House, both a planetarium and laserium, and of course, the biggest oceanographic aquarium in all of Europe.
